Glasgow: Scotland with style

Yes, those are pink sheep. Apparently some big mystery, no one knows why these pink sheep are in fact pink. Thats right pinkidy pinky pink. They really are pretty pink. ok thats enough.

Hostel in Edinburgh (ooops not Glasgow)

Good ol chips and cheese! And my, don't I just look fabulous at 3am!

Outside the comedy club we went to. So so funny. 2 scots, 1 kiwi, 1 welsh, 1 english.Wish we could remeber all of it.

Frankie Boyle, apparently quite well known and was so funny. He is so good that he literally read off a paper jokes he is testing for a pilot on the BBC. We all peed a little. Actually a lot.

Diane's fabulous pink princess dining room table. You know how I like tiny things.

This is what we did a lot of.

Scottish-Scottish Terrier

Well, this whole blog thing is taking a lot of time but we are mesmerized by this free internet. We have been in Glasgow for 4 days now staying at Diane's flat, lonely planet accomodation guide as follows:

Places to stay:
Diane Robertsons flat

This is by far the best place to stay in Scotland if you appreciate crazy ginger Scots and a very chillaxed atmosphere, and an all around good time. Also great for those who like to consort with random people on the glasgow streets and make new friends, however weird they may be.

Transportation:
Local bus system, sketchy locals included. Ability to decipher their drunken accent not included

Amenities:
Free hot showers and towels
Free breakfast every morning and service with a smile
Free internet and tolerant host of monopolizing all computer time
Free princess and cupcake fleecy blankets when jodi is cold and homesick
Full service dining room with tiny pink activity table (you know how I like tiny things)

Costs:
£0 for large double bed with pink duvet and blackout curtains so you can sleep til 3pm and not care

Services:
-Free visits from the local polis at 4am (Naughty, naughty!)
-Daily excursions to the park, activities include drinking beer, eating kebabs, and feeding the squirrels and penguins (rabies shots optional)
-Comedy club nights where foreigners try to sort through loads of political humor and accents from NZ,Wales,England and Scotland under a large cloud of pint bottles of Magners and lager (aka Snakebites, illegal to serve in Scotland, but not why the polis visited us)
-late night chips with curry and cheese, dodgy hangover not guaranteed but likely

For visual aids, see above!! And more to follow, stay tuned.

Hey Tawnya! I haven't used the email account where your Bon Voyage message was sent in years so my apologies I did not get it until just now! I read an article in the paper the other day about the pink sheep (I kid you not, they're famous!). Apparently the sheep farmer thought there wasn't enough to look at on that stretch of highway so he decided to dye his sheep pink to give people something unexpected to look at - too funny!

Glad you're having a blast, let me know when you're in New Zealand, Persia moved to Auckland a year ago - I can put you guys in touch!!

Cheers,
Colleen
