So beautiful here but accommodation is expensive. Glad we stayed over though instead of doing a day trip. The town is so cute and the island beautiful. We went diving today, the first dive was at the island "The Beach" was filmed at. Lots of fish and reef life, one reef is artificial (made of hollow cement cubes piled in a pyramid shape with pieces of real reef planted on it to help jumpstart it)as the Tsunami destroyed the hard coral reef there. Unfortunately, Jodi was just getting over a cold and we thought it would be okay, but actually not so good. She had problems equalizing her ears and couldn't go very deep. She subsequently became dizzy and nauseous and did not go on the second dive (Mom K, everything worked out fine as we made the right choice). Puking 4 times on the boat helped the decision to not go. But Tawn did anyway and saw her first turtle, leopard shark and a wee seahorse. Lots of other cool stuff but whatever, we don't want to upset Jode too much. So all is well now, with the exception of our inevitable dive boat sunburn. We are off to eat at one of the many beach front restaurants that offer up many of the things we saw alive and well underwater today. Tawn isn't sure if she ever wants to eat squid or cuttlefish ever again after seeing one laying eggs in some coral. Bye for now sportsfans, hope all is well on the other side!
